To the cheers of students, parents, and staff, Stony Plain MLA Ken Lemke was at John Paul II School to announce an eagerly awaited modernization.
New School Capital Project – JPII: Stony Plain
The government of Alberta has announced nearly $1.4 billion over three years will be provided for school capital projects.
This includes funds to support the modernization of 13 existing schools.
This plan also includes money for the modernization of another 70 existing facilities as committed by the Premier, with an estimated total investment of over $2 billion. Projects were selected through a comprehensive assessment of various factors including school boards’ priorities, health and safety of students and staff, enrolment projections, current utilization, facility conditions and capacity for program delivery.

Green Eggs is our division’s social justice project created to help a community in Africa. We have partnered with a Catholic Seminary in Owerri, Nigeria to establish a poultry farm. On the right you will see pictures of activities in our schools, the seminarians, and the farm.
We are building capacity in a community to feed itself, two continents away.
