Principal's Message - April

April 01, 2019

Spring is officially here and that means we have a very busy schedule for the next few months and it seems that there is not a whole lot of time left to do everything we want to do.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter in advance. We wait with great anticipation for the Easter Triduum which marks the most significant events of Holy Week; Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil. The passion and resurrection of Jesus is the center of the mystery of our faith and by the love that Christ shared with us during this time, we are able to strengthen our faith, find salvation and know that God offers us forgiveness for our sins. A very special time indeed!

Our Easter celebration is being held April 30th at 1:45p.m in our gym. All are welcome!

Thank-you to all of you who were able to attend our Parent-Teacher interviews prior to Spring Break; being able to celebrate the learning of your child is a great gift and I know that our students truly appreciated being able to demonstrate their skills publically to you.

Also, just a few reminders;  firstly, students return to school on Monday, April 1st following our Spring Break, and secondly, with field trip season fast approaching, parents who wish to participate as volunteers, do not delay in completing your criminal record check. Forms can be found in the office.

I was extremely pleased that our students were able to participate in the cross-country ski/snowshoe days at the Nordic center. Again, a HUGE thank-you to our Parent council for contributing towards the costs that are associated with this endeavor.

Lastly, we continue to encourage our parents to assist their children to remain focused and diligent with their studies for the remainder of the year as this time of the year often proves challenging for them due to the warmer weather and more daylight for them to be involved in activities outside of school.

Yours in Christ,

Mr. Fafard - Principal
