Evergreen Catholic Schools Video Conferencing Directory

Welcome to the Evergreen Catholic Schools Video Conferencing Directory. Below you will find a list of Video Conferencing Endpoints within our network.

Our endpoints are reachable via the Alberta Learning GVCX1000 network as well as the internet. Calls placed using the GVCX1000 network are Quality of Service enabled, and therefore should be used when the caller is capable of doing so.

Important Information

Dialing using DNS
OUr network is capable of accepting calls using either IP dialing or DNS. DNS is designed to make remembering a location easier to remember than a long string of digits (for instance 242.123.251.151). If your network is capable of dialing using DNS, then you may append either gvcx.ecsrd.ca or peer.ecsrd.ca to the dialing string instead of the IP addresses that follow the "@" symbols below.
Call Performance
Evergreen Catholic Schools is proud to provide robust WAN and LAN support for Video Conferencing. Our internal network is Quality of Service enabled and calls placed between endpoints inside the network are guaranteed low latency and low jitter. However, only calls placed from outside the division network have guaranteed low latency and low jitter when using the Alberta Learning GVCX 1000 network. If you are capable of calling via the GVCX1000 network, please do so.

All endpoints within the ECS network are capable of supporting 2Mbps calls and will automatically downgrade to whatever slower speed a call is placed to them.
Endpoint Availability
Prior to calling an endpoint, ensure that the endpoint is available and ready to accept your call. You can do this by contacting the division's Video Conferencing lead, Mr. Ray Cote, or by contacting the endpoint owner directly.
