Parkland Transportation has opened the 2018-2019 school year bus registrations.
In order for your child to have his/her bus pass for the first day of school, bus pass applications must be received no later than 4:30pm, June 29, 2018 to be included in the routing process. Payment arrangements must be received through PSD's online payment system or in the Parkland Division Office on or before August 10th to be eligible to ride the bus the first day of school.
It's very easy for a child to hop onto a bus in the morning and get to a transfer station. Staff can then direct children without a pass to the right bus to head to their correct school. The reverse is not the same. Staff won't know which bus to put a child on once they get to the respective transfer sites during the afternoon runs, if they DO NOT have a pass that indicates which route goes back to their neighbourhood and which stop to get off including alternate stops for daycares, day homes, split custody or other guardianship arrangements for care after school.
Late registrants who DO NOT have a pass on the first day of school will have to make arrangements to pick up their children at school at the end of the day until passes have been processed.
HOW TO REGISTER:
1. For students who are already riding buses this year: Your account information should already be in the system and you should have received an email from "PowerSchool Registration Support" <email@example.com>. Please check your email, click on the link that is unique to your student, then follow the directions. If you are currently riding a bus and did not receive the indicated email, please contact Parkland School Division Transportation Services at 780-963-8452 or firstname.lastname@example.org so they can re-issue a Snapcode email.
2. For new students (or current students who have now decided to ride the bus next year): Please access the "New Student" form and create an account HERE.
