Student Services
Evergreen Catholic Schools provide a wide range of student programs and services. Here are just some of them:
- an Early Childhood Services Program designed to enhance student abilities and skills, and address children’s developmental needs.
- Early Literacy Initiative for Grade 1-2 – developing literacy and language skills in students identified as “high risk”.
- computer literacy skills programs to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of learning.
- extra-curricular programs in the development of student skills, knowledge and abilities.
- classroom experience in selecting and organizing information that facilitates students drawing intelligent, rational conclusions.

- an English As A Second Language Program for students requiring assistance with the acquisition of basic English language skills.

- current and medically accurate educational information and instruction on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD’s) including Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
- HASS Program Initiative – “Healthy and Active Schools Initiative” providing opportunities for students to get physical and eat well.
- Character Building Core Values Program – focusing on values such as respect, empathy, self-control, fairness, kindness, and conscience.

- Writing Buddies – teaming grade 4 students with grade 1s to
- Oratorical – encouraging the students to improve and excel in their oral speaking.
- Hot Lunch Program – a volunteer program providing students with hot meals during winter months.
- The Sprockids Introduction to Cycling program – teaching skills in riding, safety, etiquette, and bicycle maintenance to kids 8 to 11 years old.
- KidZart – providing an opportunity for students to work on a creative Art project at home and bring it in to the school to display it in a gallery-like setting.
- Analyze This! – a cross-curricular crime scene investigation project for Grade 6 students.
- And the Survey says … – a project involving 11 teachers working with students to create surveys, collect and analyze information and disseminate findings.
- Inspired to Learn about Culture – a cross-curricular project involving Grade 7 students who use Inspiration software to create mind maps or drama scenes to demonstrate their understanding of various cultural themes.
